My silence doesn’t mean I’m inactive

It occurs to me that I haven’t posted in a while, but I didn’t realize quite how long it’s been.

Since my last post, I’ve changed cities (and provinces), and started a new job leading a team of Java developers working on a critical enterprise application. I won’t name my employer because this blog isn’t about them. It is a great place to work though. They’ve kept me pretty busy so I haven’t worked on my own projects for a while, but that’s about to change.

Starting Monday, I have a week off. Like any good geek, that means I’ll have some time to work on my own projects.  I have some updates to make to my ARM packages in Fedora, so I’ll start there. Then I’ll continue developing the QPP queuing model library, primarily because there’s some things I want to do with it, and because I have access to my reference materials again. I use queueing theory just enough to remember how much I’ve forgotten. So off we go!

More next week… I promise!
